As a alternative wedding Celebrant, also known as an officiant, I write and perform unique, quirky, alternative, personalised and non religious wedding ceremonies. Ceremonies can be performed at anytime; including evenings, in any venue, indoors or outdoors.  Your chosen venue doesn’t have to be licensed for weddings; you can have your ceremony in woodlands, a beach, favourite place or your own home or garden if you want to. I do also perform personalised ceremonies at licensed wedding venues if required.

I travel all over the UK to perform whatever themed or personalised wedding ceremonies required, including Gothic wedding ceremonies, Steampunk, Rockabilly, Harry Potter, Tim Burton or Lord of the Rings.  Ceremonies based around festival themes, sci-fi, music, or family orientated are also available. It’s your day, and should be all about you as a couple, and this includes your ceremony.

Unlike standard and traditional wedding ceremonies, a Celebrant led ceremony includes the exchanging of personalised vows between you. Don’t worry though if you find this difficult as I can help both of you create meaningful and unique vows.

If you have a spiritual or Pagan belief, this can be incorporated into your ceremony. I generally perform non religious wedding ceremonies, but as I am a secular Celebrant rather than a Humanist Celebrant, you can add poems, readings, music or customs to you ceremony. A Humanist Celebrant won’t allow Pagan, spiritual or any other faith to be included.

Additional elements such as handfasting, broom jumping, mead or wine ceremonies, unity candle, a ring warming or creating a unique canvas to frame in your home can also be included. If you want your dog or pet as a ring bearer, you can. Parents, children, family and friends can all be involved in your ceremony if you want to include them.

You will receive a personalised A4 wedding certificate which can be signed during your ceremony by two witnesses. An A3 sized parchment is also available. You will also receive a presentation copy of your ceremony as a keepsake of your wedding.
