FAQ’S

civil celebrant questions

How do we do the legal part of a wedding ceremony?
That is the easy part; you go along to your local register office and complete the paperwork. You attend on the day with two witnesses and make your declaration. Most couples attend in casual wear and do the legal part the day before. It’s just a formality and your wedding ceremony can take place as you want it.

We want our wedding outdoors in a woodland area; can we do this?
Yes, you can. Celebrant wedding ceremonies can take place at any time, on any day, in any venue or chosen area. Unlike standard register office ceremonies which have to be in specially licensed venues at certain times.

Can our children, family, friends or our dog be included in our ceremony?
Yes, they can. There are numerous ways to include others within your ceremony if you choose too. Your dog can be your ring bearer.

Are you insured?
Yes, I have full public liability insurance.

Do you travel?
Yes, I perform ceremonies all across the UK and further if required. Travel and accommodation costs are in addition to ceremony fees quoted unless specified.

Ceremony Information and Prices

Ceremony Information

civil celebrant questionsYour ceremony will be unique and written for you; it will never be used again for other ceremonies.

Your ceremony is all about you, and you have full approval of all included within it.

Each ceremony is constructed from a series of meetings with you. As I have clients from all over the UK, I usually arrange meetings via Skype or Facetime. Unlimited contact via email, text and phone is included, and if possible, I will aim to meet you in person (distance depending).

Prices

As all ceremonies are bespoke, prices vary depending on each couple’s requirements, travel costs and any additional elements chosen.

Weddings, vow renewals and handfasting ceremonies start from £650, with travel costs additional. Other ceremony prices are available on request.

A booking fee of £250 is required upon booking, and I only perform one ceremony per day, and this keeps your date just for you.

Included in all ceremonies is an A4 wedding or ceremony certificate which is signed by yourselves and two witnesses during your ceremony. This can be upgraded to a larger A3 certificate if required.  You will also receive a keepsake copy of your ceremony, and further copies can be purchased separately as gifts for parents.
